All complaining is useless as long as orders are still placed. Take standard. Live with it for six months and then gradually swap it out via Ebay and Amazon or Ikea. The connections are all there anyway.

Why take the standard at all? I have now crossed out everything except shower drains (flush with the floor), bathtub (in the screed), and the wall connections for toilets and shower fittings. We are now getting the toilets, fittings, bathroom furniture, etc. ourselves and will more or less have to install them ourselves. It seems no sanitary installer is willing to stoop to work for an hourly rate of 50-80€. With a price difference of around 17-18,000€, I’ll just stand in the bathroom for a long time...

You are lucky if you have someone in the family... then as payment there is a crate of beer and that's it...

I also bought the bathroom fixtures completely separately... always nicely compared prices and took advantage of offers. I don't even dare to write what I paid in total for my bathrooms, others have probably spent that for their shower...

I did it the same way and saved a five-figure amount. However, the work should not be underestimated in terms of both time required and difficulty. And you still end up going to the hardware store 12 times.

I was lucky again, the next hardware store is only 700 meters away from us...

Are wavering. He did offer my wife a washbasin base cabinet mirror cabinet combination set today. 1100,- Sanibel, a private label from sanitary specialist retailers. Allegedly produced by Villeroy & Boch. But it doesn't matter, the goods look good. The faucet is from Ideal, the basin too, the rest is Sanibel. Lamp included, socket integrated in the cabinet. These soft-close drawers.... so, what do you think? Mounted, connected, fixed and finished in the house 1100,-. That doesn't sound like being ripped off. Karsten
