The price from the gardener is justified - can something be omitted?

You already know that garden and landscape construction is the abbreviation for garden and landscape construction?

In the south of Germany, there is the earthworker, who is called when the garden and landscape constructor can no longer move the stones or a lot of earth has to be moved.
If you want curbstones, trees and shrubs, seating areas, then the garden and landscape constructor.

If you want hedges and lawns cut or a few flowers planted, take the gardener.

Of course. My comment referred to the text quoted from "Berufenet," which hierarchically classified the two terms accordingly.
In practice, many companies registered as Gala Bau do a lot of road construction. Unlike civil engineers, they are not obliged to pay into the SoKa Bau and can therefore usually expect lower additional wage costs.

Mini excavator on a slope - well, cheers then. It’s not rocket science, but that’s how amateur accidents start - these things tip over far too easily.

Or you might fall off the ladder when installing a ceiling light.... For me, it would be worth the risk. With a 40k saving.

You guys are really jokers with your "I would do it myself claims" , , etc.. Mini excavators are great for many projects and doing it yourself as well. But there is a limit somewhere. The second stone on the driveway weighs well over 2 tons – what is a mini excavator supposed to do with that? The slope at that spot was already 60 degrees before. It's only about 8 meters down to the street, but that’s something quite different than falling from a ladder. Respect to those who do it. This is no longer classic homeowner DIY.

Doing it yourself is great when you enjoy it (we do) and/or when you save money by doing so. Some of us will earn more in one hour of work in their profession than they pay for one hour of service, and some of them can scale their hours. That quickly changes the calculation.

We did a lot ourselves but our property only has a 3 m height difference!

For example, we only have planting rings behind the house, they are green now and the bees are happy.

With your 5-6 meters, I probably wouldn’t have done anything myself either, let alone bought the property because money also plays a role.

For example, the foundation behind the house doesn’t have to be pretty since it is now several centimeters deep underground.

One of the many excavators we rented together with the neighbors.

Here we are even surveying an entire street.
