I didn't speak about the seating area (cooking + eating), and I also quite like plenty of glass. But if you choose an expensive construction with a lot of potential for exciting inside-outside relationships, then I don't understand why the floor above is pushed out so far that it rather leaves a basement-"charm".

I would have rather guessed direct feedback for the kitchen, I don’t know why, it just doesn’t shock me at the moment.

Comfort? Age?

I do see the closure, but everything behind screams for optimization, or something new...

Regards WD

I really like the floor plan. I might consider swapping the stairs and the office and possibly going upstairs from the dining area instead of walking through the [Schmutzbereich]. Then the parents' and children's areas would also be somewhat separated on the upper floor. Additionally, I would somehow combine the wardrobe and storage room on the ground floor. That would make it feel more spacious. Maybe that’s possible somehow.

Thumbs up! ... and have the door to the storage room swing towards the garage :)

First of all, thank you very much for your feedback! Some of the comments really prompt us to reconsider!

The cloakroom or airlock situation is indeed not yet satisfactory. We are considering working with sliding doors in that area to make the situation as comfortable as possible. Additionally, we will check with acquaintances how much space a double garage realistically requires, to possibly optimize the mentioned rooms there. Either way, we will have to make compromises.

& Bauexperte: You explicitly refer to the parents' wing. Where exactly do you see the planning as unfinished? As already mentioned, the bathroom plan is merely a placeholder by the architect and will be revised by a specialist. In my opinion, the dressing room offers quite a lot of storage space since, as Bauexperte already correctly suspected, the gable will be designed open. Lighting will also be provided via the exterior window and a skylight. If you see any further suggestions for improvement, I would be very happy to receive feedback.

We are under no pressure and only want to start realization when we are 100% satisfied with the plans!

Good morning,

first of all - it is helpful if the KG as well as the views are provided afterwards. Only in their entirety can the diligent critics comment on the floor plan. Mine is rather not, however, I (ash on my head) allowed myself to be lured by WD

Specialists for bathroom planning is funny :D I am not really interested in the final arrangement of the sanitary objects in the presentation here, since I am aware of the placeholder story.

Basically, the question arises for me about the drainage - how is it supposed to be regulated so that it does not collide with the glass front on the ground floor? On the other hand, I find the anteroom on the upper floor - in front of the dressing room/parents' bedroom - not harmonious. Either doors to the bedroom and dressing room or only one door to the entire parents' wing.

And a curious question at the end - why are the showers and the toilets in the bathrooms on the upper floor respectively separated by doors?

Rhenish greetings

As I said, I consider the view and the feeling from the kitchen, and especially from the dining area, to be suboptimal. A change would have an impact on the rest, but regarding the parents' area:

You have to decide which arrangement of the rooms best corresponds to your current or planned lifestyle.

Here the bathroom is located directly next to the bedroom, another trend. Unfortunately, a sliding door does not provide good sound insulation, so what do you do then: you separate the toilet for our shy legume lovers with its own door. You can talk yourself into it, for example that two people can be in the bathroom at the same time, but there are other solutions where, for example, a sink reminds you to use it before opening the toilet door, or you don’t have to squeeze past the door.

Using the bathroom design only as a placeholder can, by the way, be just as problematic as an unplanned kitchen as a placeholder. It can work out well, but the result is rarely optimal, also regarding drainage.

The mentioned problems remain as well: access to the bedroom at the head area is uncomfortable, the separation of the parents' area from the hallway is rather unmotivated, and the walk-in closet is simply too narrow for my taste.
