Surcharge for installing large-format tiles

Yes, the effort increases significantly with large-format tiles. We had multiple rounds of filling and preparation. Carrying them is no walk in the park either. But what is important: look at references! The tiler took us along to a renovation where he was laying tiles so we could get an overview/impression. He wasn’t cheap, but extremely hardworking, fast, and precise. I would have been really upset if he hadn’t done a good job.

And ... the shipping costs are still added to the internet price of the tiles.

Well, where I looked, I would be delivered free of shipping costs because the corresponding minimum order value is exceeded.

Had the best example for the local dealer yesterday. 5 packs of white glossy tiles were supposed to arrive. There were 3 glossy, 2 matte and then different production batches. Called, got others and immediately took one more pack because we noticed we had one pack too few. Can't do that on the internet.

The question is, would the dealer from the internet have sent the wrong tiles at all?

Yes sure, but I think the online retailer might work more precisely in this regard, because such exchange issues cost him a fortune, especially with such heavy freight. But it doesn't matter. I love shopping online, but the tiles are shipped from the town.
