I also have a decent man who lays the tiles. He has been working for my parents for 15 years. Always top quality.

If you have breakage, you can make a complaint. That can certainly happen with both the online retailer and the local retailer.

Then you must have been lucky with the tile price. I definitely don’t feel like visiting 5-6 tile companies now to maybe get close to the internet price somewhere. I find that terribly annoying. You already have to go somewhere all the time anyway, where email and internet are not enough (electrician, kitchen studio, etc.).

You already find it annoying. Wait and see what else comes along the way. And you can also call and get prices. If you want to save, you have to do something for it. And e-mail and the internet are not the means of choice. Pick up the receiver and go for it.

You are right. That's why I try to proceed efficiently.

You are right. I will definitely do that once the format, quantity, etc. are exactly determined. However, the question remains whether a dealer in the region has an advantage compared to shipping to the doorstep – even if they come to the same price. But just to get to the bottom of it, I will definitely call 2-3 dealers.

That would really be crazy if you could save even more compared to the internet offer. Then the time invested would indeed be well spent.

You're right. That's what I'll do!

Don't forget the small stuff like primer, baseboards, adhesive, joints, corner beads, silicone..... when it comes to material prices and labor. It adds up quickly.

At a cheap 34,- gross for 75.5 tiles (utility room for 10-), we ended up with 120 - 130 EUR/sqm for everything in the end.

Add about 100,- on top of the tile price, then it fits.

By the way, 2 x 75.5 tiles weighed 28 KG per package for us. The guys carried the amount of 6 Euro pallets into the house. You quickly understand the surcharge there.

And ... the shipping costs are still added to the online price of the tiles. They can quickly become very high. And then delivery is only made to the footpath and not carried into the house as already wrote. That can then be quite a hassle.

So I visited a local tiler company yesterday. The consultation was very good, and now I'm curious to see what he offers. According to him, there is a very big difference between 80x80 and 60x60, as with the smaller format he probably doesn't have to level the floor.

Now I'll wait and see...
