This is how it looks for me. No frame is needed. However, there is no cladding on the back. The door is usually closed.

You basically only need half the drywall solution. Do you already have the [Laufschiene]? How wide is it?

Thank you .. so far nothing has been purchased yet, but we need to take care of that soon. It's about time.

Then I will talk to the construction company about how we can clad it narrowly and still stably. In front of the wall would be the dining area and on the right side the oven bench is supposed to go. An open sliding door would be in the way there, because the backrest tiles of the tiled stove bench are supposed to go into the corner there. On the other side of the room is the kitchen and a clad sliding door would take up space there and clad around the refrigerator and such would be disruptive. Also, no light switch or outlets would be possible directly at the entrance anymore. That wouldn't disturb in the dining area. Nothing is supposed to be hung there either.

This is quite simple with drywall. In the area of the sliding door CB profiles are lying down and for the rest standing. You should calculate with 8 cm though. Depending on how thick the door and the rail are.

Don’t forget, where something heavy is to be mounted on the drywall, install a piece of plywood or similar behind it.

The problem is, if you make it that thin and the cavity is mainly supposed to be used by the door, you won't be able to put any insulation in. So you automatically get a resonating body. Acoustically, that could be very unsatisfactory. Is a sliding door absolutely necessary? Maybe try it without it first? We had originally planned a door between the open space and the hallway, but didn't install it at first. And in everyday life, it actually works fine without it. A sliding door doesn't offer much soundproofing anyway.
