I don’t understand the discussion now. If you improve this draft, you can definitely do without 20sqm. If you leave out this cost trap of a conservatory, and also construct the walls as load-bearing, you come to a completely different amount... even if you possibly have a different layout again with a cellar. A completely wrong basis has already been created.

In my opinion, you don't need to either. There is too little serious substance in the draft to even consider improving or anything like that. 190m² on a slope for half a million, but only a self-made amateur draft?

@ TE: It doesn't exactly look like you studied architecture or just taught yourself the basics in a crash course. So, ask again when you have a draft from an architect. Few here are interested in discussing first sketches with this budget.

To be honest, it was about suggestions for improvement and things to watch out for - like the wall thickness, for example. But it seems that most people here are in the wrong place for that. The area is Villingen Schwenningen. I don’t know why everyone is so hung up on the budget here - that is honestly secondary for the plan or brainstorming.

No, of course you are absolutely right here. But in my opinion, the design is still too immature for a discussion. If you have a slope, you first have to take the terrain into consideration in your planning. If as a reader you can't see anything about that, you rightly wonder what there is to discuss when the facts will soon put a stop to it.

The situation would certainly look different if you posted a site plan with elevation data here. Also, views that show how you want to integrate the house into the slope would be best.

And if it’s only about wall thickness: for an initial plan, it’s best to plan exterior walls with 40 cm, interior walls with 20 cm. It’s easy to remember and rarely goes wrong.

VS at least reassures me that 450k will be enough just for the house. Everything else see

I have nothing against passionate do-it-yourselfers, you don't have to qualify by being poor for that. What can ruin the enthusiasm is rather resistance to advice: How are you supposed to help if you only want to hear answers related to wall thickness and the like. Secondly, your design remains nonsense even if someone tells you exactly where the heat pump should go; and first of all, no one can improve it if you doubt the relevance of follow-up questions. Hardly anything can be more important for how feasible plans can be. The budget is a relative figure, and the region is one of the most difficult factors.
