Because of winter and keeping paths clear You have 3 entrances and all on different sides of the house. That would be a no-go for me. I love winter, but not shoveling snow.
There is some truth to that.
The masonry heater in the middle of the room is really in the way between the kitchen and the dining table. Apart from that, the chimney has to run through all floors. Currently, it ends up in the middle of the hallway in the basement, or am I seeing that wrong?
No, a chimney can also start only where it is meant to stand. However, the chimney and the masonry heater must be able to stand well because of the load, so it must be reinforced below in the basement with a wall or something like that.
What I notice: a very narrow WC in the practice area, with direct access to the treatment room. I don't find that appealing. Also, the mentioned missing access to the residential building was noted. I can imagine the entrance area on the ground floor as nice (staircase issue), but the staircase issue does not work. If you keep the section in mind, you will bump your head because of the missing stairwell or the dropped ceilings. This shell-PuPu corner will probably be a lounging corner but certainly won’t replace a living or TV room for a family of five with many overnight guests. Just imagine an evening with guests on a winding down note: food has been eaten, the adults want to chat over wine and water, the children get bored and want to watch TV among themselves. Next scene in seven years: Helene turns 18 and wants to celebrate with 18 party guests on her own, and that in the kitchen area. Where is the rest of the family supposed to stay then? The bedroom is a hole, and dressing happens in the hallway?! Helene’s boyfriend will be happy, and you too, when Benedikt’s girlfriend is standing in the hallway in the morning.
Laundry in the bathroom with a house of this size is also a no-go… no bathtub, ahem, and that in a cold snowy area, it will eventually be missed.
I’m reading now: attic as chill lounge… you should plan that properly and see how the height is and so on. I would rather plan the upper floor as a children’s floor with a lounge room and a proper bathroom including a bathtub and the attic as parents’ floor with a small bathroom and guest area. The guest room on the ground floor could be connected to the dining area and a larger shell-PuPu lounging corner around the corner could be made.
But: the staircase must be new. And then you can place it right where there is no winding hallway in the basement but a proper floor.
Basically, I miss the slope information here. It would be helpful if the plan got a few contour lines to see how you get to the garden from the ground floor. At the moment, you probably fall deeply through the sliding door on the ground floor and risk breaking something.
