Leave the living room wall, only shorten the long storage room so that you have more space to move in the entrance. Regarding the garage: unfortunately, we do not have a corner in the garden that protects us from wind coming from all sides. Many neighbors whose garages extend into the garden have a sheltered corner there where they can stay comfortably, while I stay inside. Insider tip

The length of the driveway stays the same if the garage is extended....

Garden chairs, bicycles & co. also want to be stored and not always carried up from the basement....

That's of course true as well. I would also like a slightly longer garage. In the end, it might be a matter of cost. As far as I'm concerned, it can be the cheapest garage there is. The main thing is that the cars, bicycles, etc. are kept dry and locked up. Beyond a certain size, prefabricated garages are not so easy to transport anymore. With the garage, the question is anyway whether we have the general contractor do it right away or award it again afterwards and then I don't know if there will be problems with placing it....

What do you think about the static structure? The living area is quite open. Is something like that feasible or will it be difficult?

Are you allowed to build over the garage? Basically put a terrace on top? Then you can do a lot with the bathroom.

With the rooms themselves, you must not forget the sloping ceilings. The living area is calculated differently there.

Basically similar to my designs.
Is your house completely facing north?
Or is the north arrow slightly rotated?

I don't see any problems with the spans now. Accordingly, the ceiling thickness will be thicker. But if the "tv wand als tragende wand/ Sichtbeton finde ich Ultra!" Then you have no span over 7 meters.
