Just try to recreate a corridor of 1.20?/1.40? at home and then put on your winter clothes with your wife (coats and shoes). If you already have children, then of course together with them. If a stroller possibly plays a role, include it or simply try "placing" it there. You would realistically have walls on the left and right and no possibilities to step aside. In contrast, 8 sqm is sufficient for a family bathroom, and for a shower toilet it can be smaller.
For explanation: I don't like corridors either, and we also have interlocking hallway and living space without separation. But you need the entrance area more than the area in front of the TV...
Living beautifully doesn't start just in front of the sofa

I also think that you don't really need much more than 4 meters depth in the living room (exceptions prove the rule here)

for example, we have an isosceles sofa of 2.8 m, with a 4 m room that means 1.2 m of space to the wall. Today's TV furniture or walls require—thanks to flat screens—only about 40 cm depth. That leaves a good 80 cm between the end of the sofa and the TV wall, which is completely sufficient, in my opinion.
In your plan I estimate about 4.5 m, so you could give a good 50 cm to the hallway.

So, today I went to the architect again. A few small things will be changed again. Among other things, the guest bathroom on the ground floor will be made a bit more compact to gain space in the entrance area. We have no reasonable idea for the pantry. The house could be built longer, which of course would be associated with higher costs. Basically, in the pantry, there should only be a 40cm (?) shelf on one side. We'll see. I'll post the plan here as soon as I have it.

So personally, I find the 1.40m in the storage room okay. Better than not being able to get out to the shower. Also, I just noticed that your WC is only about 10cm away from the wall and barely more from the door. I find that too tight.

Yep, you're right. It won't turn out like in the last plan. The storage room will probably stay between the entrance and the living room.

Current status.... It is still being refined....

I will take another look to see if I can create more space in the entrance area.
The position of the fireplace is not yet right because the pipe runs inconveniently through the storage room on the upper floor.
The window sizes are not yet correct everywhere.
The main bathroom will be changed a little bit again.
One or the other wall will be shifted a bit.
The washing machine and dryer will be placed in the basement in the same room as the technical equipment.
