Yes, go ahead.

For 200-500+700, I come to about €455/m³ for the house based on initial calculations from our architect.

It has simply become unbelievably expensive.

I just wonder where in the house the additional cost comes from, or what the other providers are saving so much on. After all, we're talking about 40% more...

Is an independent architect simply outrageously expensive, or are all the others cutting corners?

Individuality comes at a price

That cannot be the only reason. Because if the architect invoices according to HOAI, that does not make a 40% price difference. I would also be interested in what else makes the difference...

Especially since the GÜ, with whom we were, is also an architect. He will probably get better prices because he always works with the same companies. But 40%... We want to build with high quality, but we also have to watch the money somewhere. We're already thinking about whether others are saving on quality by 40%. Ultimately, as laypeople, we cannot judge whether the work is done well or poorly.

Hello,

Rischtisch

Just like you describe it, "planning office."

Then you can also directly hire an independent architect for the planning of the single-family house; I don’t see any advantage.

With a fixed portion rebate; I assume. Or is it billed according to HOAI?

Seriously – I have enjoyed working with a certain architect for many years; his designs are in my opinion well thought out and have a high recognition value. In terms of technical innovations – especially in the area of renewable energies – he somehow got stuck in the 20th century; and that, even though he still has to reach the magical 50. If your statement refers to pure planning services, I’m with you. If it’s about comprehensive advice, I don’t really see architects as being up to date.

If this estimated price also makes it final into the contract – what are you still considering?

Do you seriously believe that your praised planning office takes on guarantees beyond their planning service?

Rhenish regards
