I always like to overlook the last three lines of a long narrative paragraph ;)

I am surprised that it is so quiet here. The upper floor is (from my client’s perspective) not really successful: "children’s rooms," office access, access to sleeping. On the ground floor, the couch is much too close to the kitchen island for me. The kitchen/pantry are as large as the living area, dining is clearly too neglected.

Because a discussion is not really wanted. It is "just" a presentation of a construction project.
The OP is often generally criticized for complaining that criticism is unwanted. And here: see the subforum where it is posted.
(And yes... the oversized pantry blocks a lot and takes up valuable sqm. I also don’t really know how it is with the suspended freezer room...)

Of course, you are welcome to criticize! I am grateful for any discussions that help us move forward. Currently, we are downsizing various areas (pantry and elimination of the office) due to the 34% cost increase. This will probably mean that the mentioned points of criticism will resolve themselves ;) I think we will be able to provide new planning documents next week! But by all means, bring on the suggestions :) Edit: The technical room will probably move to the ground floor between the guest room and the WC, as the garage structure is being omitted (naturally, this is also a cost issue)

That's even more than with (and raises the question of further details). If compensation is to be made in such a magnitude, it will also have to extend to the space program.

Yes exactly, we are reducing/compensating through different measures.
- Garage building will initially only be planned/submitted
- Main house will receive a reduction of about 15-17m2

Unfortunately, we cannot completely absorb such a cost explosion.
