Would you like to tell us a bit more in the following thread

https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/baukosten-gehen-aktuell-durch-die-decke.38976/page-260

about how the 34% cost increase came about? As mentioned, for us it was initially a 21.4% price increase, which was then reduced to a 15.4% price increase. We had to make some painful cuts.

I must of course add that no direct comparison is possible, as the construction project was partially changed between the quotation and the estimate. Broken down to the m2, however, the above-mentioned increase can be observed without any qualitative changes having been made.

So the previously assumed price was still hypothetically based on a flat plot of land?

I read that differently here! At 34% above the pain threshold, in my view you almost have to completely redesign. Just cutting square meters definitely won't help.

I had explicitly asked because this is a different forum. And this answer came (somewhat hidden) furthermore, there is no completed questionnaire.

No, the basis of the offer was our spatial program broken down according to the then valid benchmark. Our building has only increased in size insignificantly.
