Hello.
Unfortunately very busy, house sale and renovation of the old house for the interim period.
Well, I would have expected that the pictures need no words. But okay, I want to leave the settlement and move into the countryside without neighbors.
I also never said there is a connection. Completely different.
I don’t see it that way, since in the end the bedroom is open upstairs again, but that is a matter of taste.
True, I will catch up on that.
The basement is the ground floor, sorry.
See above, it is not about children’s rooms.
I think we don’t need to discuss that, we simply don’t want that. Besides, all friends and relatives come 99% from the area.
Exactly.
Reasons see above.
See above, I will do that.
As already written, we want everything on one level and only the office goes upstairs. See just below. A classic bungalow simply doesn’t please us, so a roof like that and the room is just left over.
See one post above.
So currently we have none, which can change with age.
Exactly, that’s why everything you need is downstairs and in the worst case, the office upstairs remains unused.
Generally speaking.
1) Of the 9000 sqm, about 7000 sqm are currently used for hay. A farmer does that for himself and I have no work. So I can do that later too. That’s how we get a “normal” plot size.
2) All rooms I need are on one level without steps, etc., so disabled-friendly. The office upstairs is not needed and then just remains unused.
3) It is also clear that I probably can hardly wallpaper the ceiling in a wheelchair, but that is the case in every house.
I don’t see a problem there, even if I think I know what you are getting at.
I don’t think the fences are that bad, we currently have 1500 sqm. But yes, you understand me.
Yes, I agree with you, but the south side is the nicest and also it will be fully air conditioned. Also, we are then farthest away from the street, which suits us better (there isn’t much going on in the evening anyway).
As written, that is the area that is not that nice yet.
Exactly. Also, it doesn’t make sense to close rooms that I don’t need. Yes, the big roof is not needed either, but it’s just nice.
I agree with you, but I want a “windbreak” because house doors have always been the weak spot in our houses so far. The current one is not so good either, although it was very expensive.
The first one was/is just nice, but more for vacation. For daily life for us, not so suitable.
Yes, to the street.
See above.
Yes, that’s how it is, unfortunately I can’t think of anything better. I don’t know any bungalows where it is different. Unless you go directly from the living room into the bedroom. But always happy to get ideas.
Thought about it again and yes, you are right. A window will go in.
Thanks for all your answers and opinions.

Of course it is difficult for people here to recognize the actual background of your real project in a few lines and nice pictures. As you say, you ultimately need neither architect nor craftsman and have clear ideas about everything.
Well, I would have expected that the pictures need no words. But okay, I want to leave the settlement and move into the countryside without neighbors.
For my part, I actually cannot establish any connection between the buildings shown, but that as well as the following statement may possibly stem from that, which does not exactly contribute to enlightenment....
I also never said there is a connection. Completely different.
The lately shown pictures from inside your current house are less to my taste and in my opinion stylistically so different from the rest of the shown house part, as the two exterior views of the old and new house are completely opposite. As I said... looking forward to it -
I don’t see it that way, since in the end the bedroom is open upstairs again, but that is a matter of taste.
Unfortunately, I can’t recognize much from this plan. A plan with measurements and above all (as long as they are only colored blocks) information on what is meant to represent what would be really good.
True, I will catch up on that.
According to the plan, the main living area is rather the basement (where is actually the ground floor?)
The basement is the ground floor, sorry.
Also, I unfortunately cannot understand from a few pictures why a new house is needed just 2.5 km away. As it looks because children’s rooms are needed -> but where are they in the plan?
See above, it is not about children’s rooms.
I also don’t quite see why you plan firmly with no overnight guests. I would never tell my visitors “You have to take a hotel” if I have enough space.
I think we don’t need to discuss that, we simply don’t want that. Besides, all friends and relatives come 99% from the area.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
I assume that the described and depicted upper floor is actually the ground floor and took that as a typo.
Exactly.
Reasons why one builds new just 2.5 km next to the existing house, why no guests are to be accommodated, etc. do not have to be provided by the OP in my opinion. Also, hints that the “old” house is so nice do not help. That is absolutely none of our business.
Reasons see above.
What matters are only the requirements for the new home. Based on the wishes expressed, advice can be given. But sure, some details are still missing, especially for the upper floor and of course more precise measurements.
See above, I will do that.
Why? 9000 sqm would be a reason for me.
It is not clear why it is planned like this. Big attic without use.
As already written, we want everything on one level and only the office goes upstairs. See just below. A classic bungalow simply doesn’t please us, so a roof like that and the room is just left over.
But I don’t understand the upper floor. You only plan 15 sqm here? What about the rest? It will hardly be a gallery if you criticize it as acoustically worthless in the current house.
See one post above.
Who will do that then?
So currently we have none, which can change with age.
Absolutely beautiful but hardly age-appropriate
Exactly, that’s why everything you need is downstairs and in the worst case, the office upstairs remains unused.
In general, I think that “disabled-friendly/age-appropriate” is often used as a strong argument in sales talks. In daily life of a physically or mentally frail/disabled person, it is certainly not enough to just make the doors a bit wider or build a few fewer thresholds, as is often done. I think the OP wants to build a nice house for themselves, which I can understand very well, but doesn’t quite understand the stated self-evidence of truly age-/disabled-appropriate construction here.
Generally speaking.
1) Of the 9000 sqm, about 7000 sqm are currently used for hay. A farmer does that for himself and I have no work. So I can do that later too. That’s how we get a “normal” plot size.

I don’t see a problem there, even if I think I know what you are getting at.
When I look at the photos of the old house, I can see other houses and many (sorry ugly) wire mesh fences through the windows. The new house, on the other hand, is supposed to be built on a huge plot in a secluded location with views of endless meadows and forests. So I would also move 2.5 km further immediately.
I don’t think the fences are that bad, we currently have 1500 sqm. But yes, you understand me.
I probably wouldn’t place the bedroom to the south if there is green all around. Or windows to the east? Then it doesn’t get so hot in summer.
Yes, I agree with you, but the south side is the nicest and also it will be fully air conditioned. Also, we are then farthest away from the street, which suits us better (there isn’t much going on in the evening anyway).
The dining table docked to the kitchen island makes the open-plan kitchen a bit tunnel-like and I think it is a bit awkward if you always have to walk around the 4 or 5 m long kitchen-dining-table block, even when setting the table. Maybe plan something nice with a corner bench?
As written, that is the area that is not that nice yet.
Upstairs you can leave the rooms unused except for an office. If attitude towards guests changes or the house should be sold, at least you have a backup.
Exactly. Also, it doesn’t make sense to close rooms that I don’t need. Yes, the big roof is not needed either, but it’s just nice.
If money is a minor issue, I would make the entrance area a little more representative. It looks quite narrow and cramped. Without measurements that could be misleading though.
I agree with you, but I want a “windbreak” because house doors have always been the weak spot in our houses so far. The current one is not so good either, although it was very expensive.
Overall it will definitely be mega great. You already proved with house 1 that you can do it
The first one was/is just nice, but more for vacation. For daily life for us, not so suitable.
Hopefully not so many gabions and wire mesh fences will be needed at the new house.
Yes, to the street.
Yes, I would reconsider the hallway altogether.
See above.
At the entrance to the house you run directly into a cupboard and the hallway then winds around the corner to the bedroom. In the last attached pictures you can see that it is also the case in the current house. That would be too tight for me. And in the new house, the hallway towards the bedroom is too dark as well.
Yes, that’s how it is, unfortunately I can’t think of anything better. I don’t know any bungalows where it is different. Unless you go directly from the living room into the bedroom. But always happy to get ideas.
I would give the dressing room a window...
Thought about it again and yes, you are right. A window will go in.
