Tiles are of course more expensive than a plain plaster facade (where one saves on the top plaster and possibly paint, but the insulation must be dowelled), however cheaper than real bricks. It’s not just about material and price, but also surface consumption. Tiles are probably more suitable for the big city on a busy street.

Other facade options are currently excluded for us mainly due to cost reasons. Cladding, tiles, stuff like that would all be additional costs and we might have had to plan that earlier as well. The boss wants to start soon with the exterior plaster, the scaffolding is already up and materials are procured (except for the colored plaster). Right now it’s just not possible because of the weather. =D

At the moment, the weather in the Palatinate is quite okay. Today and probably the whole week between 25 and 28 degrees, no rain. We are starting with the facade today. For us, it should go in the direction of Cappuccino from Caparol.

Tiles as a facade feel to me like a shop window. Butcher shop or similar.

I don’t know exactly how/when he plans it, but he has several construction projects going on and I assume he doesn’t always have a plasterer on call if it gets colder for a week. The last time we talked about it, it was blazing hot outside, and he said "nothing works at these temperatures," currently he is focusing on the interior finishing.

Tiles as a facade wouldn’t be my thing either. I know it from before, but even there rather rare in rural areas.
