Show me your facade colors!

So, I announced that I would take a few photos. I did not climb any ladder and I left out the yellow and red houses, which stand next to each other and which I actually really wanted to photograph, because there was a garden party happening there and it seemed too bold to ask them to clear the tables so I could properly capture the facade... :D Not all pictures are from the immediate neighborhood, but all are from the region... One has rather a plain color, but I found the plaster so impressive and literally merkwürdig that it had to be included.

I like the colorful houses better than the white-gray ones. But yes, it's a matter of taste. I just looked at colored facades on the internet and can't get enough of them. There are such beautiful colors and facades. I would love to come home and be greeted by a nice blue or green. :)

Getting tired of seeing something should not be underestimated. If you only see a colorful facade every few weeks and are enthusiastic about it, I argue that with your own house the turnover can come quickly. In my neighborhood, I currently have a bright yellow house that has been standing there for about 5 years. I pass by it every day and also see it daily from the kitchen window. What was initially an eye-catcher is now simply glaring and doesn’t fit with the other houses at all. If it were mine, I would have drawn a line a long time ago and repainted it.

That's the nice thing - you see the houses. I look past gray-on-gray. I really have to be interested in a nice front garden to really pay attention.

In our area, there is a house painted pink. It is called "the pink panties house" because the color really looks like girls' underwear. Hardly anyone finds it really nice. And still, I wouldn't want it any other way among the gray facades.
