I was still out and just saw that you emailed. In the NR district, the only other one I can think of is Stüber, which other one did you mean? - farther north in RLP there is only AK and AW.

Ok, I thought you were not allowed to mention names here :)

I was thinking of bd holzbau (a colleague is currently working with them and is totally enthusiastic)
or the company Prangenberg (solid construction, I "know" the boss through several connections)

Otherwise, I also wanted to inquire at Fingerhaus, they can also build individually (recommendation from an acquaintance)
and at Massivhaus Mittelrhein

Or architect

Only external links are not allowed, and for companies where you want to share your experience with them, there is a moderated section. Finger is not in this area, only Fingerhut (in Neunkhausen - but operating nationwide). I find Massivhaus Mittelrhein quite recommendable, and they have a very good model program. No, not "or". Planning with an architect always makes sense – even if you already know a general contractor you like.

Oh, okay.

No, FingerHaus is from Frankenberg in Hesse, they have a show house here in Mülheim Kärlich. My acquaintance said she knows several people who built with them and were very satisfied. I have already contacted an advisor once and he said they could also build individually and that wood would not be a problem because they have their own forests in the Black Forest region. However, they do have a 2-year lead time; from signing to moving in. But we probably won’t be able to move anywhere much earlier anyway.

I spoke with 2 architects this morning and got almost the same answer from both: "But you do realize that this is much more expensive than going straight to a general contractor who also does the planning?!"... I am meeting with one architect next week at least on the property.

I can already see this is going to be fun... ^^

The seller certainly has a sense of humor *ROTFL* With two years lead time, almost anything can be procured, even if you have rather slow connections. You won’t find a seller who straightforwardly explains how the miraculous increase in Romanian logging quotas works either ;-) I do hope: with a third one. I don’t believe that architects haven’t understood that planning and building with architects is not more expensive. But it sounds nicer than "don’t bother us about some measly single-family house." General contractors with building application service only do the bare minimum rudiments of planning. I have already emailed you (unfortunately one is not allowed to point this out here) where you can find my explanations (e.g. about the difference between site managers and "site managers").

At least my first idea for both early on is to put them against the wall...

(der und die Bauleiter, wobei mein "der" Bauleiter nur meinem Auftragnehmer Rechenschaft schuldig ist)
