Yes, then this point seems clear. But here: The solution now really lies only 30 km south of you... The Swiss franc existed long before the DM and Euro and will probably continue to exist long after them. And opening an account takes 15 minutes.

Fear is not a good advisor. Money dies in hyperinflations, at the moment zero interest rates do not indicate anything like that. - And in D. many things are certainly not okay, but the country is still among the leaders in Europe. What makes you so afraid?

Ah, the company with the yellow buckets and the 3 letters on them?!

I think your starting position is not bad. You have a decent amount of equity. Professionally, you have the best conditions. As long as you are not completely disliked in the construction scene, you can talk to the various companies you know. If the construction takes a bit longer, it’s not a problem since you don’t pay rent.

What should one answer you here. Your girlfriend's studies have now turned into an apprenticeship... then you say that the money is "disappearing"... You will have an excuse for everything because you WANT to build

Then just do it, but don't be surprised that you can no longer do what you want spontaneously because you have to water your garden.

I have an account in Switzerland. This is not the problem. In principle, that would certainly be an option.
But unfortunately, it does not answer my original question.

Refugees Who is supposed to pay for that? And statements like, these are our new skilled workers, are ridiculous. My father was professionally at the limits, terrible what he told me. (I am not a racist to make that clear)
The labor market. Everyone studies, no one wants to work with their hands anymore. Who is supposed to meet the demand?
Pensions who is supposed to pay for that?
In the FRG there is a strong shift
Rising gold prices
Other countries in Europe that are on the brink of collapse.
Sure, I am no expert, maybe I see all this too strictly but when you read all this I don’t have a good feeling.

@hans987
Right. Here you can get building materials cheaply.
I have a good relationship with my ex-company and all the companies that worked for us. So all good.
Construction time doesn’t really matter to me as long as it stays within limits.

??? And for the shell construction and doing the EL yourself you would have time?

Besides, what financial risk? On one hand you worry about your savings; on the other hand turnkey is a risk?

Have you ever been to your bank?
