No garage at all or at least a carport is already a weak point, I think. Completely unnecessary for cars, but for bicycles, bike trailers, scooters, car tires, jacks, etc., ground-level storage space is very practical. You can get into the garden without having to go through the house, and can you build a larger shed there?

Yes, I see it the same way. But otherwise, many things fit, even if not everything. The garden is too small and not accessible (only through the basement, house on a slope). But we want to set up a lockable bike box. That should work. Tires will then have to go in the basement.

Now, for once, don’t philosophize yourself to death here – otherwise it’s nice to read. But here, to claim that the first bid makes the second one for the other item a lost cause because of energy loss, just to make your gut feeling seem superior to logic, is a bit too much...

@TE: place two bids, if you win two auctions you are in a position others would like to be in, if you win only one auction your decision was simply taken away from you, still okay. ;)

50 sqm garden would be a no-go for me. Why would you get a house if not for the garden? Then an apartment with a large balcony or on the ground floor with a garden share would also do.

by the way, this will be my typo of the year. :D

Yes... that was due to the small phone keyboard.

I half agree with you about the garden. I would also prefer a proper garden. However, the budget cap plays a role here. A mid-terrace house quickly costs 650k here. If you want a garden on top of that, it can be even more. A semi-detached house also starts at around 650k, but unsanitary. See the example above.

...which probably isn’t any cheaper either. And you have someone living above or below you. We have had both in rental apartments over the last 20 years
