Would you like to tell interested people how expensive such an expert is?

Sure... I think it depends on the size of the property. In my case, it was 650 net.

Now I have to reflect again and weigh all the pros and cons before making a decision.

Thanks in advance "for the flowers"! To answer, I would need to have the core question asked again. The previous chat history sets high demands to be able to filter out the actual question ... :) Greetings to the group: KlaRa

thanks to you! Hello KlaRa and thanks for joining the thread. The thread has actually become a bit confusing by now. Specifically, it’s about a house I’m considering buying. The mid-terrace house has 185 sqm of living space and I visited it this week with an appraiser. The appraiser didn’t find anything serious, but said the floors mostly need to be redone, which we had planned anyway. On the ground floor and basement there are tiles installed (a total of 60 sqm on the ground floor and another 28 sqm in the basement). According to the appraiser, they are "worn out." Probably one could leave them in the hallway and kitchen, but since that’s only 20 sqm, it might be worth replacing everything. The tiles in the living room are a bit uneven; the appraiser calls it cushion formation. We wanted parquet flooring in the living room. Now the question was whether the tiles have to be removed for that. A floor installer said they usually try to lay flooring over the tiles if possible. I don’t know how much effort removing them is, but the appraiser said removing the floor covering (whether carpet or tile) + new floor covering (tile or parquet) + installation would cost about 100€/sqm. Is that realistic? He said standard parquet or good quality tiles can be had for 40 €/sqm. I myself don’t have very high demands but it should obviously not be the cheapest.

What is that supposed to mean, tiles that are "durch"?
Are they coming loose or are they outdated ("ugly")?
