Roof covering and solar technician selection - Decision?

You cannot operate the inverter on the system. Sorry, but I would look for a solar technician who knows what they're doing or get advice elsewhere.

The inverter can only handle 10kWp AC. That is truly a waste for 17kWp. The next problem is that it only supports 15kWp modules. The voltage would simply be too high with your number of modules. I would recommend at least a 15kWp inverter. The "problem" is that most hybrids only go up to 10...

Ah, ok. I understand. A non-hybrid only has the disadvantage that you cannot connect a battery, right?

Just needs its own inverter then. So I would correct my recommendation. Fill the roof with the 20kWp and 20kW inverter.

Rather leave out the storage or retrofit a suitable AC-side one later. It might also be a good fit for the electric car later.

I only read about the 15kWp, since it will probably be a north/south system, the value should never be reached - or am I thinking wrong? If the stringing is planned and the string voltage is then too high, the solar installer might have to redesign. Actually, I would have assumed that they use design software (e.g., Photovoltaik*SOL) and then pick the suggested inverter?
