Is your system new or has it been in operation for a longer time?

My system is new… installed this spring… but the order was already placed in spring 2021.
However, with 29 kWp it’s not directly comparable to yours.

Our best offer (out of now 5) for a photovoltaic system is 13,000€ for 7 kWp.

I still find that really expensive despite price increases! But I guess it really depends on the region and the workload of the local solar technicians.
Can you realize a larger system? Maybe that would somewhat balance out the price per kWp…

Have you deducted tax? Without tax, such a small system shouldn’t cost more than €1,500 per kWp. From 12 to 15 kWp, they are currently aiming at €1,300. (And those are realistic prices – I saw the last offer with that price the day before yesterday. In expensive BaWü.)

The first step now would be to look for space for more kWp. 7 is really quite small. Many solar owners don’t even get out under 10 anymore. All roofs are suitable, often even north-facing ones.

The second step is then to keep looking and possibly wait. The market is really overheated right now.

Or a significantly larger self-consumption through e-cars or something.

E-car and heat pump both come within the system’s lifespan. Therefore, you can certainly credit a bit on the positive side in your calculations. And until then, don’t be upset but enjoy the really excellent low house consumption. Saving is actually even better than self-consuming! ;-)

Our best offer (out of now 5) for a photovoltaic system is €13,000 for 7 kWp. We are debating back and forth, but it hardly seems worthwhile. We currently consume 1500 kWh. If we produce a third of that ourselves, so 500 kWh, then we save €150/year. There would have to be a lot more feed-in tariff at 6 cents for it to be worthwhile. Or a significantly higher self-consumption through e-cars or something like that.

Wow, what am I doing wrong then? We need 4000 kWh for 2 people on 200 sqm of living space ... And another 4000 kWh for heating and the electric car ... I last had 1500 when I lived alone?!

I don't find that so unrealistic. We have consistently had 700-800 kWh for years, even in the last two years with a lot of home office and a small child only about 1000-1100 kWh. Sure, you need a bit more in the house, but 1500 would also be roughly my estimate for our consumption (without heat pump). 4000 seems very extreme to me now, are you running a small data center there?

Have the prices risen that extremely? Our 13.26 kWp (offer accepted end of 2021) costs €1,244 gross / kWp. These are G8 modules in black (also the frames) with power optimizers, installation, connection, registration, and one free check after one year included in the price. The scaffolding was not included, but they could use the builder’s.

I didn’t quite “understand” the Easter package. From the first reading, is it now for private individuals or for commercial users without self-consumption? The modules are installed now. The connection will only take place in about 1-2 months. Does a private person still get anything from the Easter package?

How does that work? There are 3 of us (two adults and one child) and we have 2,500 kWh per year. LED lights everywhere. The only two things are the 65-inch TV and the dryer. But the dryer won’t use 1000 kWh per year??
