The diesel privilege should have been abolished a long time ago.
Which privilege? I don't think it's fair to call the incredibly high vehicle tax a privilege ;)

So I don't find my 150€ car tax (Octavia 1.6 TDI 105HP, year 2013) particularly high. Especially when I compare it to the Corsa I had before, which was somewhere around 80-90€, or my trailer that costs 59€ and doesn’t even have an engine. The problem often lies in the fact that engines are chosen way too large, and then it gets expensive. No one really needs the 2L diesel with 180 HP for a family wagon. Still, they drive around by the dozen. I’ve never felt underpowered with my car, even in the mountains. A few extra HP would be nice with a trailer over the pass, of course, but they’re really not necessary.
