I think you have been patient and kind enough. My goal would be to complete it first. I wouldn’t let the unreliable electrician into the house anymore and would assign the rest differently. Secure the whole thing well in writing and send the unreliable electrician an invoice – without expecting to get anything in return.
He wouldn’t dare on his own anymore anyway, I know him by now.
I know an architect who is also a major developer; he’s currently building a 14-floor building and my electrician is also working for him...
The architect, his wife, my wife and I went out to eat once and my wife complained about the electrician; the architect said, “That’s not acceptable, I’ll scold him, such behavior is unacceptable.” He himself has problems with some craftsmen, even though he is very experienced, works correctly and cleanly.
I also told the architect that was necessary since maybe his construction project could possibly be endangered by it.
His brother called us and incidentally his brother (our electrician) complained that we go to his client and complain about him. My wife just said, "Is it a lie that we are satisfied with our situation?! You should be able to understand that reaction!”
I also found it kind of funny, reminded me of a little boy who just doesn’t get any sweets.
