Regarding the screen... I've been through it for years, switching between projector, plasma, NeoPDP, LCD with the result: especially projector (expensive!) is far, far behind NeoPDP. Currently, we are looking at 65 inch NeoPDP and have the best picture with it (in a dark environment). In the house, it should be at least a 75 inch OLED. Later (when available) gladly more... up to about 100 inches I consider reasonable for our living room. Sound Denon 4000 as 7.1, then 9.2 in the house. That is the plan. Possibly also Atoms. With the projector, you also have the problem: in the foreseeable future* no 4k anywhere near the level of OLED. From about 70 inches, 4k is almost a must..

Edit: except LSPX-W1S but with prices around ~ 70,000 EUR somewhat expensive

Do I have to do it again?
We don't have a TV at all and don't miss anything.

Well, watching TV and movies are completely different things...

Oh, occasionally watching a movie or [Tatort] on Sunday is nice. For me, the pain threshold for a TV is also 700 bucks, so I'm definitely far from Steffen's league. But to each their own, and if you have the money, why not? I personally see the function of a living room more as creating a place to sit together, talk, play (the little ones), and eat. Watching movies ranks much lower on my list. But to each their own! Best regards, Andreas

One could call it a hobby If money didn't matter, we would also like a separate cinema room and living room/kitchen really just for "living". Unfortunately, a cinema room costs at least 50,000 EUR in construction costs. There is a limit somewhere after all

So now I have a bay window version with a recessed living-dining room. As a layman, I would say that this version is more expensive than V1.0 (due to the bay window/insulation canopy etc.), or what do you think? The living room still seems too small to me

PS: A "home cinema" is much more expensive than a cinema in the basement because the WAF disappears here
My offer from a company for a home cinema would be >40,000 just for the equipment
