Hello everyone,

I am in the process of planning my kitchen. One side of my kitchen has a niche dimension of 2200 mm ± 1 mm depending on the position of the tiles (the adhesive was just applied sloppily). The following base cabinets are planned:

20 cm cabinet - 60 cm cabinet (sink) --- dishwasher (60) --- 80 cm cabinet

All with drawers. Of course, there is no room for cover panels, but you can't see those anyway. In the worst case, if it really doesn't fit, I will simply leave out the 20 cm cabinet ... reluctantly, because of space for cleaning supplies, etc.

Do you maybe have a little trick/tip/idea on how I could save about 1-2 mm in width?

Best regards from the Rhine

If you decide to equip the 20er only with shelves (without fronts), you could adjust the width accordingly. Leaving it out is also not bad; in this gap you can easily hide a small step ladder for high upper cabinets. regards robi

No, but I can tell you that it will be tighter than you think. The dishwasher is usually planned with 602mm width instead of 600mm...

Hmm, thank you.

Without a front, as a shelf, it would work... but it's fiddly to get things in and out. I'd rather leave a gap and put such a holder for dish towels there.

The dishwasher is specified by Bosch with a niche dimension of 600... the appliance itself is 598 mm according to the dimensional drawing. With an actual dimension of 602 mm, unfortunately it won't fit.

We'll see... of course, I could also set the cutting blade to the middle of the countertop thickness and smash the tiles (in a fit of female rage) :D

Another question: How do I order fittings online???

By the way, you should measure the width of 2.20 meters twice. Once directly at the back wall, and once at a depth of 62 cm. Bet you’ll get two different lengths... Maybe you’re lucky and the front area fits, then you could possibly cheat a bit... that is, sand off some of the body at the back left and right...

Of course I did ;) There's air in the front, and as you rightly suspect, it’s stuck in the back ;)
