we have built with expanded clay, Liaplan Ultra08, 42cm wall thickness and have been living in it for a year, 125m2, bungalow, gable roof, no controlled residential ventilation and have the following experiences,
heating + domestic hot water with air heat pump 3100kwh/year,
through walls and doors + windows almost nothing can be heard, neighbor's lawn trimmer almost gone, noises come very quietly through the roof structure - open construction method for us, 5m room height.
The construction was supervised by the building consultant for a stress-free process for us, he found errors and had them fixed … respect, it was worth it for us. An almost error-free construction, very precise measurements, shell stood to the millimeter.

What did you use to insulate your roof? Is it an exposed roof truss?
