11ant@ Tegel is almost closed, feels like 2-5 planes a day, now it's going to Schönefeld, here it is getting very quiet from above, the birds are the loudest
Which KfW standard do the lightweight expanded clay aggregate houses comply with, and what U-values were specified for the exterior walls in your case?
Bluesky@
Standard is Kfw55,
with better roof insulation, floor slab insulation and controlled residential ventilation it is Kfw40, I do not have the exact values at hand due to vacation, our roof beams are clad
Recommend Ytong. It does have sound issues but nothing that can't be solved. Ytong is just solid. I looked at expanded clay at Lechner Massivhaus, but this is extremely prone to many unsightly cracks in the masonry.
Well, your question should be: Do you have windows? Soundproof windows initially have nothing to do with the wall construction.
Why is that? I also think that normally the windows are the weak point when comparing the sound insulation of wall constructions ... a normal window has about 32 dB, a soundproof window with different panes 42 dB ... so if you have normal windows and a wall that delivers 40 dB, sound will of course come through the window ....
We have a 36.5 cm Poroton wall (Wienerberger T10, unfilled). The inside is already plastered, the outside not yet. So far, I don't have the feeling that it is very soundproof. Conversations can be heard well outside the house and singing easily on the other side of the street. I wouldn't attribute it to the windows (triple-glazed) or the front door (heavier aluminum version)...
