Hello everyone,
I have planned a ground floor design here and am asking for tips on the design of the ground floor of a city villa measuring 10.1x10.1m.
I am unhappy with the open kitchen with island.
Maybe put the island against the wall and add a block with a set of 3 tall cabinets for oven / fridge / pantry cabinet?
Should I rather move the entire kitchen forward and pre-install the guest toilet? Or a small room? Please consider the compass. Should 1 or 2 small windows also be included in the living area (sofa)?

A bit little information. You don’t know your property, the purpose of the small room, what is around your house, so where you would like nice windows with a view or if a garage is being built somewhere attached. And only a ground floor without knowing how many people will live on how many floors in the house.

Ideally, you don’t save on information and proceed according to this: https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/grundrissplanung-unbedingt-vor-Beitrag-Erstellung-lesen.11714/

Just regarding the kitchen: 70 cm width for walkways beside the island is definitely too narrow. I would plan at least 1 meter. Either you should push the island against one of the walls or make it narrower (alternatively make the kitchen wider).

Wider is not possible, I am at 3.6m. Otherwise, I would have to move the front door, which would no longer be centered, and the utility room would be narrower. The island is 2.2m. For the pathways, 0.8m is recommended.

I'll do that tomorrow..
The plot is about 500 sqm (26x19m). A carport is to be built to the north.
I have about 13m west / 3m east / 6m south / 3m north plot area free for the house.
It should be for 2 adults and 2 small children.

Of course, a person can also get through 70 cm. But an open kitchen should also appear spacious, and the walking paths are part of that. Therefore, I would move the island or narrow it in favor of the pathways.
Maybe one still lives in the house at an old age and depends on a walker or wheelchair, you don’t want to get stuck on the way to the fridge. More space is always good.
Definitely more storage space too, if you are building or planning with children, the cabinets and storage areas fill up quickly.

I would push the dining table much further into the huge free space and give the kitchen more room for storage + workspace + movement area.
