Why has the design become what it is now?

Strange: at least the "green" template in was somewhat better before. By the way, I currently advise laymen to start with the upper floor. You wrote elsewhere that the development plan requires a house axis (?) - so why are you insisting on a square floor plan?

Well, precisely because of that the square floor plan. The longitudinal axis of the house must be oriented southwest. I definitely want to enter the house from the street side (here east) and have the garden on the west side, as this is the larger green area.

You are spending a lot of money on "empty" space and at the same time the kitchen and hallway become cramped. Just for that reason, I don't like the design. If you need the large space in the living room for something, it might make sense. Maybe you give yoga classes at home.

You are probably right there. Yoga is not really my thing.

The slanted wall with the door makes it a bit difficult, I think. You have squeezed the kitchen and dining area at the bottom, then there is a huge free space. I would rearrange that. Unfortunately, there are hardly any measurements in your plan. Is it your own design or is it already being built?

I planned the slanted wall to create more space for the living area. And for the small fireplace. It is only a draft of mine.

Alternatively, kitchen with pantry. Possibly, the guest toilet could also be placed here and more space created in the utility room.
