Well, you're quite worked up... If you have an experienced energy consultant then everything is fine. Then just do exactly what he says, or do you not trust him?...

Photovoltaics on the roof and a well-planned heat pump: with that, the house already produces more energy than it continuously consumes, regardless of the insulation standard. Your goal is thereby exceeded, and depending on your perspective, it is more energy-efficient than some passive houses.

Please inform yourself thoroughly; there is no expert who plans exactly the right thing for you because you yourself do not yet know what you actually want.

Why do some self-proclaimed pseudo-experts always have to act out their neuroses in these threads. We do know quite well what we (maybe) want, but I have no desire to discuss this here. I would like to do that with a "real" expert, yes, one who charges for it (anything that costs nothing is worth nothing!). And for that, I would like a recommendation. For this company. From someone who has already done something with them. Or another one, but please not too far from Krefeld.

The answer has already been given. Don’t build new. The energy expenditure for building insulation and the building services equipment now leads to significantly more energy being used than the buildings consume in operating energy over their usual 30-50 year lifespan. So if your motivation is based on more than greenwashing, buying a "clean" conscience, or the appeal of moral superiority, then forget building new. Wash my fur, but don’t get me wet.

No, we are not that green. We just can't find anything used, suitable, at a reasonable price. After all, 3 children need to be accommodated. And if we are going to build new now, then it shouldn't be gas. Heat pump with solar, for example.
