Yesterday, besides the currently favored LW heat pump or gas heating, I also came across the ring trench collector heat pump. The following questions come to mind:
Main concern: - I imagine that laying it myself after renting an excavator is feasible for the DIY project, but in the strip where the ring trench collector is laid, no plants will grow later due to the frost. How far does this cold radiate, i.e., how wide is the exclusion zone around the ring trench collector for plants, trees, bushes, etc.?
Secondary topic: - I actually always have to hire a paid expert beforehand who assesses whether my soil is even suitable, right?
Above our collector are trees, shrubs, partly hedges, flowers, lawn, .... You don’t need any spacing at all.
You can assess the soil yourself; there are plenty of threads about it in the pink forum. As long as you don’t have rock and the property is of a solid size, there are hardly any cases where it doesn’t work.
