Why lower the guest WC? The ground floor layout closely resembles ours and we have a room height of 2.72m from the top of the finished floor.

Upstairs it is only 2.50m - but that does not bother us at all (anymore). At first, I was skeptical whether that would be too oppressive... now painted and fully satisfied.

We have 2.56m from the top edge of the finished floor on the ground floor with 2.11m doors. We consider this absolutely sufficient.

We found 275 cm in the guest WC uncomfortable and lowered the ceiling by 15 cm. I find the proportions more pleasing that way. But of course, it's a matter of personal taste. Presumably, that is why the OP also asked for opinions from different users...

yes, the rooms are usually smaller there anyway...

Top edge of finished floor is a good keyword, can someone tell me approximately how much I have to subtract from the clear ceiling height on the ground floor and upper floor? So what will I ultimately have left from the 2.75m on the ground floor and the 2.635m on the upper floor when the developer is finished?

Many thanks for your help so far. I am now definitely leaning towards the 2.75 on the ground floor.

I assumed a clear room height from the top edge of the finished floor to the ceiling.

No one can tell you that - it depends on the further planning. Clear room height for me would have been the upper edge of the finished floor and not the raw construction dimension...

It should be between 15-20cm on the ground floor - but then of course not much remains of your 2.75m. And upstairs it will also be around 15cm...
