Your argument is flawed: you have not seen my work.
But anyway: in your question it was about

under! ... not visually, no

... !

I have to step in for Yvonne now.

My husband tiled two bathrooms and two staircases in the old house 10 years ago. When we sold it, among the interested buyers were two professionals. Both were impressed by the work and wanted to know which company had done the tiling for us. They told him at the time that even a professional couldn’t have done it better.

The new owner had two floors and one wall tiled last year. The tiler did very poor work and got a nice sum for it. If I had been the client, he would have had to redo that work!

Flat rates are no good. Even an amateur can deliver good work.

As far as the appearance is concerned, I do believe that a layperson can achieve more than a craftsman. If it takes 5 times as long, then it doesn't matter and may even be worth it.

As for the "technology," however, I have my doubts. Perhaps with good instructions from an experienced person. Otherwise, it applies again: training and studies cannot be replaced.

And therefore we will not do anything ourselves. Pride is insignificant to me, besides, I have no desire to sacrifice my free time for it. Driving 30 minutes to the construction site after work in the evening and then taking two transfers and another 90 minutes home, I would have to buy a camera just so I can see my daughter at least that way. And we definitely want to take vacation for what it is meant for in our opinion: relaxation.

We will also only move in when the house and garden are finished, this is also a point: we do not want to live on a half-finished construction site. We did that here (Garten = Acker) and we found it awful. All this as a reason why we do nothing at all and why we find that completely okay (by the way, I prefer to be proud of my daughter).

I wish you good luck and, of course, the necessary money for it. I believe that the factor time always plays a role, and eventually the day X comes when you have to firmly plan the move.

If by then not everything is already finished, unfortunately there is no guarantee that it will definitely be done by day Y.

Our move is in 3 weeks, and at the time of planning it was said that the tiles would be finished by May 1st and the painter could come. Reality tells me: no tiles, no painter, and in 14 days the kitchen will arrive.
