Regarding the dining table: It's always somehow a compromise in terms of space, but basically I would have to plan about twice the area for 10 dining seats, and how often do you actually have 10 people at the dining table? When my parents or in-laws come, they come as a pair, friends of course sometimes have children who also grow, but those are not such frequent occasions that it would be worth so much space for us. You can certainly arrange a lot with an extendable dining table.

How many square meters do your kitchen and living room have?

The house has a floor area of 11.2x9.2 m, from which 47 cm walls are subtracted. The living-dining area including kitchen is then 60 sqm, or kitchen 17, living 42

PS: since we have children, there are definitely more than 4 people at the dining table about 3 times a week

It's really good to get feedback here. We definitely need to visit the show house, but we've actually already realized that the layout isn't optimal and without a basement, the storage space for a family of at least four is probably not sufficient. Leaving aside the question of brightness.

Maybe we should have an offer made regarding widening the house to the right and left or reconsider the option of adding a basement.

How many sqm you need for eating with 10 people you can calculate yourself. 60 cm per place + 2 at the ends - 90 cm around the table. So 4.2 m x 2.8 m = 12 sqm - a passage by the table so another 90 cm -> e.g. 4.2 m x 3.7 m = 16 sqm are enough for comfortable eating for 10.
