: We discussed the location of the laundry room for a long time. In the end, we landed here because my wife likes to dry the laundry outside in the fresh air and therefore prefers the short way here.

:

[*]The style was related to the exterior views. And from my perspective, there aren’t many corners.
[*]Doors fit, I just talked to the planner again.
[*]The shower is planned so that the office can possibly be used as a bedroom in old age. We are now also unsure whether we even want this shower. Because the guest WC is not very large.
[*]The TV should go where the couch currently stands. And the couch against the exterior wall, which is why no floor-to-ceiling window will come here. Why do you ask?
[*]The second door to the guest room will probably be removed. I also find it unfortunate that the hallway narrows here. But this is because a utility shaft comes down in the bathroom in the basement, which is why the hallway is narrower here. Maybe we will move the wall here so that it is continuous.

@all: Would you swap the storage room and the laundry room in the basement? The idea was that this would give the laundry room a small daylight window. Or do you think a light well is enough?

And another question: Would you align the wall in the office with the kitchen wall on the ground floor?

Leaving the garage aside, your house has 10 corners; mine only 4.

Ok. I only asked because at our place a door (guest WC) was planned narrower back then. I only noticed that on the second look at the plan as well.

This reason is understandable to me. Additionally, the children can use the shower occasionally. We deliberately didn’t want a shower in the guest WC. That way, the room is always tidier and easier to keep clean. But we also have a kids’ bathroom for that :)

I liked the position of the couch with the view to the outside. Only then I missed a good positioning of the usually very important TV.

There are somehow quite a lot of shafts. Probably also because only 17.5 cm interior walls are built. But I would prefer a visible boxed-in area in the basement over such “botched walls.”

If this weird intermediate door including the attached wall is removed, it is probably pretty irrelevant. Once you have a longer route for laundry, once for supplies :)

Yes, either extend the kitchen wall further towards the top of the plan (which probably won’t work because of your service shaft) or move the entire office wall (towards the hallway and guest WC) further downwards on the plan. Then at least one unnecessary corner is gone.

I have looked at the floor plans: I would straighten the hallway on the ground floor by slightly enlarging the office and swap the shower with the toilet on the upper floor (light/view in and out)

We will straighten the hallway, then there will be the corner in the office, but the hallway will appear more harmonious.

Really swap the toilet?

Without the bay window and covered entrance area, it would also be only 4;)

We will discuss this again with the planner. Thanks already for your tips.

On the one hand, thank you very much for the implementation as pictures. On the other hand, congratulations, because I know it wasn’t quite so easy for you :) I count only 7 corners without a garage, ours has 6... Sure, 4 corners, straight up and a roof on top is the cheapest, but also the most boring design. I don’t like bay windows, but meaningful projections... Well then, I do see some other smaller things in the window positions? Where will the wardrobe go (did I miss something?) P.s. I would prefer daylight and a proper window in the laundry room (what a word...)
