House design
From whom is the planning: my 5 cents
-planner of a construction company
-architect
-do-it-yourself
What do you particularly like? Why? The west side, because we have an unobstructed view to the west over fields and forest
What do you not like? Why? So far nothing
Price estimate according to architect/planner: approx. €430,000 excluding additional construction costs including slab on grade
Personal price limit for the house, incl. equipment: €480,000 incl. additional construction costs (without kitchen or garden)
Preferred heating technology: air-water heat pump or geothermal energy with baskets

If you have to do without, which details/extensions
-can you do without: venetian blinds, wood/aluminum windows
-can you not without: the flush doors

Why has the design turned out the way it is now?

Evolved from numerous previous drafts, matured over time

In the ground floor (in the living room near the technical room) there seems to be something like a chimney that I cannot find again on the upper floor, and it's also in the ridge line (?)

The single-flight staircase bent 90° away from the entrance and then "wasted" at the start does not please me at all.

The corridor upstairs is everywhere stingy where it is used, only to then generously widen where nothing branches off. But you will probably get even more criticism for the utility room by the bedroom soon ...

Are you sure that the garage dimensions near the boundary are approvable?

Show me excerpts from the "countless" intermediate steps of the maturation process.

Unfortunately, no measurements can be seen at all. A few explanations such as utility room or hallway clearance on the upper floor would also be appropriate.

, so you probably mean this corner in the kitchen below the utility room. I only drew it in (to be done in drywall) to visualize how the kitchen will be installed flush with the surface.

What do you mean by "wasted at the start" regarding the stairs? And what speaks against the utility room being directly next to the bedroom?

You can clearly see the measurements if you enlarge the pictures, right? And I already explained the floor clearance above in my text.... so much for no one reading that anyway....

... but I usually read it, I prefer text with several points but in a structured form .. one paragraph per point.

Ok, when I download the graphics, you can already make out something there, but unfortunately not the exact dimensions of the staircase, because there are just too many inaccurate measurements all around. In any case, it is probably about 380 to 390 cm .. in that case, with a finished room height of 270 = approx. floor height about 300 cm, I would be interested in the planned rise measurement of the staircase.

I am not a fan at all of these flat elongated windows and least of all in a children's room with a sill height of about 130 cm. The children first have to be several years old before they can look out of the window there.

Such a play corridor is overrated in my opinion, better the rooms would be somewhat larger right away.

A utility room behind the master bedroom is not necessarily beneficial if later the teenagers are supposed to also bring their laundry to a collection point. By the way, this utility room is quite large, what is supposed to happen there?

I meant that in addition to the "having to turn off," instead of approaching the landing with a dominantly straight step (which for me would be an essential motive for a single-flight staircase), the wall, to which one almost leans more than nestles, also juts out about 60 cm towards the dining room just shortly before.

At the landing, one then suddenly stands directly between the room doors and in front of a wall, and this narrowness is then just as abruptly opened wide towards the window abyss. I'm not particularly a big Feng Shui crusader, but I do find that quite extreme.

There are more measurements than informative ones. You learn a lot about dimensions that say little (corner of the wall to the middle of the window is already a very unusual measuring distance).

Personally, the utility room bothers me less, but knowing my fellow discussants and uncles ...

... I expect, for example, the objection that ironing laundry disturbs the husband watching TV in bed.
