Hello dear people
Today we received the preliminary draft of our house plan.
We are actually really happy with it and only made a few minor changes to the windows. We would now like to get your feedback on our plans and what we might still change or consider
About our conditions:
We are building on a slope that rises about 3-4 meters from the street side to the property. The garages and the office in the basement are therefore at ground level. The rest of the basement is underground.
On top of the protruding garages, we will set up a small south-facing balcony to have breakfast, etc. there.
From the living room, you can then walk out to the garden at ground level. A terrace will also be placed in front of the living room.
The window-door element there will be made a bit bigger (from 2 to 3 meters)
And in the bedroom we added a window at the top and pushed the bed into the room.
The office in the basement will be divided into 2 offices with a drywall partition since we both do home office.
We are grateful for any feedback/criticism!

Best regards Maximilian & Carmen

Could you please fill out the questionnaire

Always draw all desired or existing furniture to scale in the floor plan. That way, you can see where the problems are.
Bedroom: bed is quite narrow
Terrace: also quite narrow. It will be tight with table and chairs
Outside stairs: hardly ever used at my parents-in-law's. The family goes through the garage and in the winter half-year there is almost always a chain hanging in front because my father-in-law doesn't feel like spreading salt or clearing snow.

Beautiful and very efficient design. I particularly like the generous space for the children. Depending on the technology used, it could get a bit tight in the utility room. I would definitely build the outside stairs and, if there is space, let them go straight down and not in front of the study – or alternatively a stairless path that curves to the front door. The terrace is wide enough to sit in the sun. As a place for a sociable table, it is too narrow. Such a table can also stand in the garden on a wooden deck under a pergola...

The path is a good suggestion from . Then you can come up right away with wheelbarrow, lawnmower and co.

Draw 60s wardrobes in the bedroom, no 30s shelves. The dining area becomes very dark due to the roofing.

Right, the dining area is dark. You can solve this by making the canopy out of translucent photovoltaic modules.
