I generally find continuous light „überflüssig“, for example. Especially with a villa. It lives from the nostalgic. Oh wait, that is probably one of those new things where a forum celebrity calls it an „Anstattvilla“, but it has nothing to do with an original villa.

A castle illuminated in the evening has something special too, right? ;) Given the low energy consumption of LED lights, I'm not so critical about it if the homeowner enjoys it and it doesn't disturb people or animals.

It seems like I actually managed to post the first topic in this forum where everyone is right. :-)

The electricity demand has increased due to LED as many people use lighting and lighting duration excessively. LED actually has a much lower power consumption… I also don’t understand why outdoor lighting has to be on at night at a private house. There is already enough light pollution. With a great architecture or a castle, it is a different matter.

I assume that since my floor plan submission in this forum and the corresponding discussion about it, I am known for my poor taste, which is also okay. Depending on the situation, I plan anyway to invite forum members later for a "day of open doors" to try a home-brewed beer, to see if our house has really gotten that bad. I do not think so yet. Back to the lamps: I imagine wall lamps roughly like in the photo, maybe with flickering gaslight simulation.

Bollard lights are also a good idea.

Thanks for the information, I didn't know that and will rethink my electricity consumption regarding LED lamps. First, I will get used to not leaving the lights on in our current rental apartment when we go out in the evening. So far, I just liked coming back to a lit apartment instead of a "dark dungeon." But it is not that important to me. Thanks again.

In my case, it’s only about lighting until I go to bed, around 10 p.m. Furthermore, we will set the lamp(s) to motion sensor operation. But only if they don’t constantly turn on because of animals; otherwise, they will just be switched off. Your suggestions are helpful.
