I agree with you on that - it is theft of intellectual property. But a 1:1 copy of a Rolex/Breitling/Omega, which now also costs around 400-600€ and is extremely high quality (with which you can actually dive 40m) is really amazing. I know the products from China on site and also in comparison to the original. Sometimes not even the jeweler notices a difference, unless he comes with a magnifying glass. But I personally prefer to stick with Sinn. If the fake lamps were like that too, the choice would be really easy So better stay with the original or with similar designs, but reasonable quality that still has its price.

The Steinhart design also resembles that of some Rolex models. The function, namely reading the time or the date, remains the same. Only the quality is worse. Compared to lamps, one can definitely buy something like that because it is also completely legal. The quality will definitely be different...

What bothers me about many modern lamps: The LEDs are fixed built-in. So if the LED breaks, I have to replace the whole lamp. I know that LEDs are supposed to last quite a long time, but does that practically rule out the possibility that they break?

High-quality lights have replaceable LED modules. In very special cases, however, only by the manufacturer. The "cheap" lights are rather disposable products.

What is affordable for you? I've also had lamps costing several hundred euros where nothing was replaceable. Well, then you just don't have to buy them.

It cannot be said in general. Our ceiling spots have, for example, replaceable LED modules. The manufacturer guarantees 20 years of spare parts supply. One spot costs just under 300€ (+power supply etc.). For pendant or floor lamps, the threshold for replaceable LEDs is higher. A few hundred euros is still rather inexpensive for luminaires.
