It does not say that it is not possible, but only that permanent tightness must be ensured. I just checked the wall construction on K’s homepage: the usual marketing voodoo of a ‘thoughtful, diffusion-open’ exterior wall, but in the end just a normal 60mm wood fiberboard as a plaster carrier. Probably 90% of all timber frame constructions have that, we do too. Logically, one must avoid water (driving rain) getting into this wood fiberboard or the insulation behind it. However, that really is no problem – they manage that, and it’s not their first time doing it.

On another note: do you have an installation level inside?

I don't know, my husband takes care of that. I'll ask him.

Or for a decent builder with whom you can do everything the way you want. We also just built recently, but stone by stone, and all the lamps and switches are where I wanted them. Partly in consultation with the general contractor, partly as own work (we installed the spotlights in the roof box with motion detectors ourselves).

Which simply means that you cannot contribute any experience to Pinkiponk's questions.

She didn't actually ask any questions today either, but made the observation that it's better not to build new anyway ;)

It is usually the case that one initially feels restricted, but in reality is not. I'll give an example: With our construction chaos, the wall height in front of the bathroom sink is now 180cm, after which the slope begins above me. But I am 186cm tall, don't constantly need to see myself in the mirrored cabinet, yet it should still hang higher. Another construction blunder contrary to the existing plan. Nevertheless....... we find a solution there too, we search, consider, come up with completely new ideas, let go of the original idea for a moment and suddenly....... solution possibilities emerge with which we don't feel worse. I fear you might think that only perfectly planned and equally constructed houses are being discussed here. Visit other people in their houses and you will see the opposite. Another example: We gave a lot of thought to our house entrance, width, crossing the "traffic lane," etc. The neighbor said everything is always trouble-free for him. After we looked at his "trouble-free" entrance solution ourselves, we could better assess that...... Of course, you can also beautify your house in many ways, described this aptly, that it’s probably more about the ballyhoo. It’s no different than with your house back then, only back then one built a house in rhetoric and today one plans a moon landing, but then still only has a house. :D
