I think I already wrote it somewhere: The warming drawers were only invented to fill the gap that arises with compact appliances. :p Meanwhile, some models can also be used for low-temperature cooking.

Hmmj a

There are many applications for a warming drawer, but the gap is also closed :-)

We have now decided on a lighter color for the kitchen, we will look at the fronts again on site and then decide, we are still working on the structure of the kitchen. Thank you very much for your feedback.

We have an oven with pyrolysis and next to it a steam oven in compact form + accessory drawer. Would I buy 2 devices again? Probably not. ;)

Now and then both are used at the same time (pork roast in the oven and dumplings in the steam oven, for example), but the steam oven is used much less often than we originally assumed. We almost never use the regeneration function to warm up food, as it is far too complicated and time-consuming with wiping and drying function, and the old microwave is used for that more often than expected. ;)

I can understand if someone wants 2 units because of the look, if it becomes asynchronous with only one oven, but one should not think that this changes the way of cooking so much that the devices are constantly in use.

Since we have such a thing, it is used surprisingly often. Just last Saturday again when making burgers. Fried the bacon and onions, then put them in bowls and afterwards prepared the patties and buns on the grill to perfection at a relaxed pace. When they were ready, everyone could top their burger as they liked with warm bacon and onions. Great invention. It is used very frequently with us to keep food warm during cooking. And yes, you could even cook with it. There is a whole cookbook included, but we have not tried that yet.

The kitchen of my mother-in-law is several decades old and, as an extension to the classic hob, an old-fashioned coal stove is used. This is how a dozen people are wonderfully and deliciously cooked for with homemade food on certain occasions. My wife has fortunately 'inherited' this trait - even though our kitchen is a bit more modern and, as an extension to the classic hob, we occasionally use our gas grill or the 'backup kitchen' in the garage :) Of course, everyone has to decide for themselves what they want to spend money on - the same goes for a warming drawer. I invested in a fingerprint scanner for our new front door - for other useless gimmicks. Pyrolüüüse (insider joke), on the other hand, has never been used by us.
