Is that so? I would have thought that the execution planning, which contains the measurements, is sent to the window installer.

There are both kinds. With us, the windows also go into the order according to the execution planning. It depends a bit on how well your architect knows the shell builder.

You also have to think about the depreciation of your new house. I would not buy a house with such low windows and especially in the kitchen, I do not want a countertop that is only 70cm high.

At the time, I also thought that a detailed execution plan would be created for our house construction. It is also possible without one.

If the window manufacturer is only supposed to work according to the plan, then (IMHO and should mean must) the architect should check compliance with his plan during the shell construction before giving the window manufacturer the go-ahead to produce according to the plan.

so a few pictures would really help and aren't particularly difficult to take. any phone can take pictures, and with Wi-Fi at home, they can quickly be uploaded here. pictures can be attached directly here. then it’s also much easier to see how, where, and what might be problematic, etc...

as andi already wrote, the financial compensation will be so ridiculous that it basically never comes into consideration. you won’t get the theoretical repair damage but a fraction of it, if anything at all. even if you simply say 1000€ per living room window and 500€ each for the bathroom and utility room, would 3000€ compensate you for this mistake? everyone would laugh at you for that; when selling the house, the loss in value is much higher than 3000€, so does the money even help?
on the other hand, you also have to consider that the repairs carry considerable potential risks. there is a danger of cold bridges, leaks, or the like. the windows could also get scratches, etc. during the conversion, which usually have to be accepted or lead to utterly ridiculous compensations (unfortunately...).

even if this is repetitive and the damage is already done: it could have been seen that the windows are too deep. did you never visit and look at the house? there are actually meter marks on the walls. never measured anything? I walked through the construction site with a laser measurer and was shocked at how large the tolerances on the construction are but basically, everything was right and the very few important measurements (closet niche 305cm) matched.

There must be reasons why the OP does not provide any pictures

"Hätte/Kette" doesn't help him anymore now - not even on repeat.

Rhenish greetings
