You can put in whatever you want and no, of course it’s not forbidden, but the era of spots has long since passed. Even the hardware stores have realized that by now. But hey, it’s your house.

Again, it’s your house and as I said, it may work that way. Tell me, what are the 5 sockets intended for?

Ah ok, so deliberately limited from the start... I don’t quite get the purpose, but yes, it may be that this is also built with loose concepts.

Just a run-of-the-mill alarm system, I also wonder what costs that 3.5k.

We are planning to use window contacts at least on the ground floor. When absent, I also want to include the presence detectors. However, I will test beforehand to ensure that movement outside the house does not trigger them. KNX based alarm systems are often laughed at because they are not VDS certified, etc. But that will be sufficient for me. What have you used here?

So, after all, 50 lamps? Please tell me what should have been done instead? In my opinion, this is the cleanest solution I know.

I have deliberately left out exactly what I am convinced we will neither need now nor in 10/20 years.

I’d claim that this standard alarm system will do its job just as properly as your non-existent high-end alarm system.

It really doesn't matter whether someone likes the recessed ceiling spotlight or not. For me, the essence of this post is the information that even with only rudimentary automation, about 30 K or more is required. Corresponding to the title, it can therefore be stated that here too, a 10,000 EUR surcharge is by no means sufficient.

The problem is that it is difficult to determine the actual additional cost. Alarm systems and cameras initially have nothing to do with smart home. These would have come on top even with conventional wiring. Just like every spotlight and every socket that I add compared to the construction service description. Window contacts are possibly also installed with conventional electrical systems and then used exclusively for the alarm system. I think it's good when people present their total costs; however, it's unfortunately difficult to draw conclusions about the additional cost.

The alarm system has nothing to do with KNX in our case, as far as I remember correctly. It should be a separate circuit that Exactly, that was also the aim of my post, but here people pick and choose and try to put something down. Instead, you get questions about what the LAN sockets will be needed for... One person is into 50 lamps, the other into 50 spots... one likes thick ones, the other likes slim ones... Referring to the title, I would claim that nowadays you unfortunately will not get far with 10k, unless you limit yourself or omit what is not absolutely necessary (which we also did with weather station etc.). We should all remember where we come from and what we started with. Most of us still live like 20/30 years ago (I mean this respectfully), but what we are talking about here (KNX and co.) is, in my view, pure luxury. I am talking here about house construction >1 million, which has nothing to do with KNX and co. or does not want to have anything to do with it!
