Some ask about a topic, others answer about a topic. The classic in forums :)How about a separate topic for alarm systems? I don't really see the connection with the thread.

With a "real" alarm system, or if we want to be professional about it, an intrusion detection system, dedicated sensors are used, and these are at most read via a gateway onto the bus or externally. With a gateway, for example, this works great with the systems from Telenot, ABB, or Indexa, so that the alarm sensors can also be used for comfort functions. If you build something yourself using KNX presence detectors, only the battery is truly certified in some form. VdS has little to do with all of this anyway, because then you are not allowed to influence the system from the outside (i.e., for example, via the bus) at all. Alarm systems usually have their own bus. A "real" VdS system in a private house is rare for me; more often VdS Home or systems based on VdS.
For at home, I am a big fan of the ABB GM/A or the Indexa 9000. The ABB connects directly to the bus, for the Indexa there is a very good KNX gateway. What is installed at your place, ?
However, I think it’s nonsense to want to make an intrusion detection system only with presence detectors. If they trigger, the professional in charge of property transfer is already inside and from then on doesn’t need much time or your fuse trips so that the place will be quiet quickly.
Of all the threads I have read in this forum here, the latest posts showed the smallest deviation from the main topic.
Moreover, I can't see any deviation here at all. The user posts a cost overview including an alarm system. It is perfectly reasonable to ask once what exactly was installed there and also gladly enriched with a few additional pieces of information.
Very good choice! Indexa has an excellent price-performance ratio. Alongside the ABB GM/A 8.1 also my favorite. KNX interfaces are available from Indexa themselves or from Elausys.Burglar alarm system 1 x INDEXA SYS 9000 wireless control panel. My statement referred to the accusation from that we write too much about alarm systems. But yes, I agree with you. The statements you mentioned were absolutely unnecessary. One thing is to inquire how you did it, another is to start your sentences with "Oh my God...." and throw around disparaging terms (08/15 etc.) and insinuations (having been poorly advised) and call yourself a professional, as if the electrician, who might be a family member, is not a professional and just wants to rip me off to suggest there is only this one professional and no others. If you met like this outside sometimes, it would be okay, but on the internet you can let out everything you are not allowed to at home... Anyway, to provoke such reactions on the first day of registration among supposedly adult people is quite astonishing, although my intention was to give the creator a brief feedback.
