The problem is that the actual additional cost is difficult to determine. Alarm systems and cameras initially have nothing to do with smart home. That would have been an extra cost even with conventional wiring. Just like every spotlight and every socket that I add beyond the construction service description. Window contacts are possibly also installed with conventional electrical work and then used exclusively for the alarm system. I think it's good when people present their total costs, but unfortunately, it's difficult to draw conclusions about the additional cost.

100% agreed, BUT: I can’t quickly provide you with a flawless calculation that you can work with, because I haven’t memorized the offer. I can only list what the electrician roughly specified and will install, and how high the total costs for this will be. To be fair to everyone, the offer would now have to be dissected and a decision made on whether KNX or not, etc.

If I remember correctly (the discussions are almost 1 year old) presence detectors and the alarm system are supposed to work together – don’t ask me how the electrician will manage that. I can’t guarantee you 100% about VDS, I only read that the battery is VDS certified.

We should all remember where we come from and what we started with. Most of us still live like 20/30 years ago (I don't mean that disrespectfully), but what we are talking about here (KNX and co.) is pure luxury from my point of view.
