Sounds strange, but "smart" actually means that your house recognizes on its own when you want something. Exactly for this reason, a real smart home includes a number of sensors, because otherwise nothing can be detected. (You can’t really be blamed, since nowadays even the simplest wireless solutions are offered under the label "smart," but that doesn’t make it any more correct.) Practical example: You enter the living room at dusk, which automatically activates the ambient lighting (wall unit, floor lamp). If you turn on the TV, the same light is dimmed and at the same time the still-playing radio is turned off. And when you later go to bed, the shutters are lowered when turning off the lights and, as if by magic, the stairs up to the bedroom are illuminated. Notice anything? Exactly, you didn’t have to hold your phone once to make all these steps happen. THAT is smart!@@untergasse43 if I don’t use a remote control or app to turn on my light, what else do I have left?
