In the meantime, I have taken a look at the aerial image: apart from the Kettenhof bungalows about a hundred meters away, I only see flat roofs on Bahnhofstraße at all: few hip roofs, almost all gable roofs (many of which are asymmetrical), and many dormers. Overall, a strongly rural area structure. With a fashionable cube, you certainly don't make yourself popular there...

Hello everyone,

the crawl space in the south should only be for garden tools and the lawn mower.

What I said about my parents and the stairs is correct. But in the ground floor you quickly sit in the shade in the afternoon. Also not optimal. The stairs are straight. If necessary, a stairlift will be installed there. But there doesn’t seem to be a big market for this.

I will upload the jpg soon.

I wonder which masonry is the most cost-effective per sqm.

Ytong / Poroton / sand-lime brick & ETICS or the Neopor stones.

If anyone has experience with this I would be happy.

Thanks & regards, Alex

Do you want to build walls yourself?

Don't think you'll use the crawl space for long. Eventually, there will be a garden shed without bending.

preferably have it built by an inexpensive company from Poland, Czech Republic, etc.

The lawnmower and everything you need for the garden should go into the crawl space. It should also not be deep. Just enough so that you don't have to crawl into it...

Then find a company that will build your shell construction with the desired U value. It sounds logical to build stones with integrated insulation. I have my doubts whether it really works as easily as described. Right now, the walls also have to be made with the Lego system. Masons already achieve quite impressive speeds building stone by stone with mortar. Are they really much faster with the formwork stones?

Ask BASF about construction companies that use the system.

If I were you, I would probably make the basement out of shuttering blocks, and above that use aerated concrete for exterior walls, sand-lime brick for load-bearing interior walls, and gypsum boards or drywall for non-load-bearing interior walls.

But as I said, the design should be revised, because there are still decidedly more expensive corners than can be compensated for by masonry.
