Just because of the soundproofing, [Kalksandstein] is my favorite for the next house.

What do you currently have?
And how noticeable is it?

That may be, but who wants such thick interior walls? Sand-lime brick can do that with 11.5 cm, load-bearing 17.5 cm.

Also, you don’t need 24 cm sand-lime brick for exterior walls, 17.5 cm should also be sufficient there.

Calculate the space consumption of the thick walls into your calculation...

You saved yourself a site manager/planner, right...?

20,000€ more to build monolithically with Ytong? That would be okay. In return, you save the ETICS. Ultimately a zero-sum game.

What makes Ytong and its derivatives so affordable is the labor cost. A Ytong house simply requires few hours. The thermal insulation is excellent, we live in such a house, you can build monolithically without external wall insulation system, hanging wall cabinets etc. works well, but the sound insulation is not so great. If you have some money left, a brick cladding in front should be done, then the sound insulation is also good. Many also build Ytong on the outside here because of insulation, but use Kalksandstein for the interior walls.

Well, regarding the interior walls he said you can do it but it would be statically bad.

Sand-lime brick 24 because we have to lay many pipes inside (KNX)

Yes, we skipped that, I often consult our construction manual at work (currently not possible due to a work accident).

He said 20,000 more for sand-lime brick than Ytong would cost us.

We have someone in the family who does ETICS, so that would only cost us material and time (the interior finishing will be done ourselves). Facing with bricks is not allowed here, only plastered. As mentioned above, lime sandstone is discouraged for structural reasons according to the builder, and Ytong would be equivalent to lime sandstone at the same thickness. Online I have always seen prices for lime sandstone at 35€ per m2 + 50€ for masonry, so the additional cost seems strange to me since Ytong is supposed to cost for 169 m2 built.
