Just like in your left picture. It’s a bit annoying to watch TV during the day because of the reflections, but firstly, you’re supposed to be doing something outside during the day, and secondly, we have blinds for that. Do you mean the presentation plates facing outwards or inwards? Outwards, you should have a decent hedge after five years, right? Otherwise, use a privacy screen (outside). Inside, you could place one or more room-dividing shelves. I had that in my condo because there was no normal hallway. My wife doesn’t want that in the house, and honestly, I wouldn’t have much space for it either, but who knows, maybe in five years we’ll think differently about it. In your place, in my opinion, there is still enough space for that, although I don’t know how far the room behind the viewer extends... Oh, now I’ve seen the floor plan. You have almost the same dimensions as us, only that we don’t have an extension for the kitchen but have to accommodate it in the left area of your open-plan room (together with the dining table). So if you place the sofa by the window as in the left picture above, you’ll still have plenty of space for a room divider between the sitting area and the dining table.
